Heritage Railway Trips

Is the Abbey haunted?

We are often asked is the Abbey haunted? The magnificent three-story Victorian gothic sandstone building definitely likes to groan and creak in the middle of the night... but what 133 year old building doesn't?

Home to the Sisters of Mercy for 93 years along with thousands of students, the walls of the Abbey certainly have stories to tell, but are they of the supernatural kind?

The team from Transcendental Paranormal will be at the Abbey Friday January 31, 2025. Contact the team below for details.

Christmas in July, 2025

Join us for a winter festive Christmas celebration at the grand and magnificent Abbey.

Enjoy a traditional Christmas 3 course dinner and self serve tea and coffee.

Come dressed in your best Christmas outfit and enjoy trivia and a night of laughs and festive fun!

Come and explore the Abbey with a self guided tour of the downstairs rooms and see for yourself the stunning Chapel room and our Scarlet Lounge area (pictured).

Available most weekdays between 10.30 - 1.30pm for $10pp.

Group Tours and Meals

If you are a group of 20 people or more, book in for a guided tour and morning tea of scones jam and cream Mon - Fri at $18pp

We also do group lunches and guided tours starting from $34pp.

In July we host Christmas in July lunches and dinners.

Murder Mystery Dinner

Ideal for work parties, birthday celebrations, end of year work Christmas party & group get togethers.

Murder Mystery dinners are fun & fully hosted event (we will do all the organising!) You just need to gather at least 12 or more of your loved ones and pick a date. We then email out the invitations with everyone's character details & clues then host the night allowing you to get fully into character!

Prices start from $115pp - includes canapes, main meal and dessert.
