  • Can I bring my children to stay?
    Please don’t take offense parents, but for the experience and tranquility of all our guests, the Abbey Boutique Hotel is not suitable for children under 18, UNLESS all our accommodation rooms are booked by one group. Give a friend or relative the pleasure of bonding with your young ones for a night or two and take a well-deserved break! Children are welcome to dine or at functions - just not accommodation unless all rooms are booked by the same group.
  • Where are you located?
    Our address is 8 Locke Street, Warwick QLD 4370. We are on the corner of Locke and Dragon Street with carpark entrance off Dragon. Warwick is a 2 hours drive from CBD Brisbane or 1 hour south of Toowoomba and 1 hour north of Stanthorpe. Check in is between 2 & 8pm
  • Do you have onsite parking? Is there a fee?
    There is complimentary parking off Dragon Street.
  • What is your check in / check out times?
    Our check in time is between 2 & 8pm and check out is by 10am. The car park is off Dragon St, once parked please ring the back doorbell near water feature.
  • How many rooms do you have?
    We have 15 rooms, all individually decorated and of various sizes, when booked direct you also have a light breakfast included. 5x First floor heritage rooms - Rooms 1 and 2 (Victorian Rooms), 3 (Cozy Nuns cell) , 4 (Mothers Superior) & 5 (Verandah). Each room has a private bathroom down the hall. These rooms are at the front of the building and to preserve the heritage and beauty of this late 1800's sandstone building we cannot add water pipes. These rooms are all located on the first floor accessible by stairs. 5x First floor ensuite rooms - Rooms 6 (West Wing Suite), 7 (Bavarian), 8 (Do Drop Inn), 9 (Mercy Suite), 10 (Catherine McAuley). Each room has an ensuite with its own unique heritage and story. These rooms are all located on the first floor accessible by stairs. 2x Ground floor rooms - The Bazil room has a private entrance with a king bed, ensuite and veranda. Also located on the ground floor is our largest and most private room, the lower East Wing Suite, with an impressive 100sqm footprint, 4.2m pressed metal ceiling with private entry and verandah. 2x Loft Rooms - Newly renovated each with king bed on our top second floor, accessible by stairs. 1x Attic space - Room for 5 adults in this 2-bedroom room. With 2 queen beds, 1 single bed and 1 bathroom space located on our top second floor, accessible by stairs.
  • What are your booking terms and conditions?
    TERMS & CONDITIONS: Just so there is no confusion, we would like to mention the following, if you have other requirements or requests in regard to your stay please don’t hesitate to phone or email prior to booking your accommodation. Your card is charged on the day you make your booking to secure the room you chose that we are holding for your future stay. Please read the below cancellation policy prior to booking. ​ A 1.5% charge is added to all cards. Booking accommodation only includes access to the accommodation floor for those who are checked in and staying at the Abbey overnight, if you would also like to have a function or use any of our reception rooms, we would be delighted to discuss plans in more detail. Booking accommodation (whether one or all rooms) doesn’t include having friends or family back to the house or grounds if they aren’t booked into stay overnight. Guests as part of a function only have access to the function room that has been booked. Guests at a function are not able to access the accommodation floor or other parts of the house. Booking accommodation doesn’t give guests photographic rights to the building or grounds. The ground floor and grounds are liquor licensed & there is no BYO food or drinks in these areas, but you are more than welcome to bring your own beverages and nibbles to have on the accommodation floor or veranda on the accommodation floor. ​ Check in is between 2 & 8pm. Check out is by 10am. The Abbey is on the corner of Locke & Dragon. Our car park is off Dragon Streett. Once parked please ring the back or front doorbell near water fountain. Reception closes at 8pm. Late check-in can sometimes be arranged with prior notice at $35/hour. Late check out can also sometimes be arranged with prior arrangement POA If you are unsure of any of the above please enquire prior to making your accommodation booking. Bookings.com, Wotif, Expedia, QANTAS, Agoda ETC) The Abbey is not responsible for 3rd Party booking policies. Most of the 3rd party sites who promote rooms for us are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another date. However, if you phone us prior to check in time we can change the booking name for you. THE BELOW POLICY ONLY APPLIES IF YOU BOOKED DIRECTLY WITH THE ABBEY HOTEL WEBSITE OR ON THE PHONE. Donated vouchers. Need to be booked for a stay that takes place PRIOR to the expiry date. There is no extension of expiry date. Once booked should you cancel, you cannot have a date change, refund or credit note. You can change the booking name of guest if done prior to 2pm on day of check in. ALL special packages, HOT deals, discounted offers and packaged deals made directly with hotel. (not valid for events) If cancelling 90+ days prior to arrival – 75% refund of accommodation cost of package. If cancelling 60-90 days prior to arrival – 50% refund of accommodation cost of package. If cancelling 30-60 days prior to arrival – 20% refund of accommodation cost of package. If cancelling 14-30 days prior to arrival -10% refund of accommodation cost of package. Under 14 days till arrival no refund. change of date or credit notes. All money paid is forfeited. You can change the booking name of guest if done prior to 2pm on day of check in. Standard rack-rate bookings made directly with hotel. (not packaged or special offers or events) If cancelling 60+ days prior to arrival - 75% refund of accommodation.   • Do you have a minimum stay?
    There is a 2-night minimum stay most Friday and Saturday nights. There may also be minimum stays in place over long weekends, public holidays or other special events. Give us a call if you require clarification on specific dates.
  • Are you pet friendly?
    Sadly no, we have a resident cat called Bazil who likes to be the sole animal on site.
  • Can I purchase a gift voucher?

  • I am coming to stay for a special occasion, can you arrange something for me?
    Absolutely! We can help arrange anything special from rose petals, chocolates, bottle of champagne, flowers, private dinning and more!   • Do you have any accessible rooms?
    Sadly as we are an 1800's historic building, we do not have rooms that are wheelchair friendly. We do have 2 ground floor rooms that are suitable to those that are not comfortable with stairs. We are planning on adding an accessible cabin on site, so watch this space in the future!
  • Do you have WiFi? Is there a fee?
    Whilst complimentary WiFi is available to our guests, it is NOT reliable so you may also need to hot spot from your phone some days.
  • What are your restaurant hours?
    Bookings are ESSENTIAL! (sorry no walk ins). When you book we need your food selection. Pre dinner drinks start at 5.15pm, with dinner severed at 6pm, please visit our DINE page to view our menu. Please call or email admin@abbeyboutiquehotel.com.au to make your booking. We also have private dining rooms for 2-20 guest for special occasions or business dinners.
  • Can you cater for special dietaries?
    Absolutely! Our menu covers various dietary requirements. When you book please advise our team and we will pass your dietary requirements onto our chef. You can view our menu under the DINE page to see what options we cater for.
  • Who can I contact for information on your weddings?
    We would love you host your wedding here! We have a range of packages to suit all budgets and needs, from elopements to intimate weddings to grand weddings of 120 people. Enjoy a Stress-Free Wedding with ceremony, photos, reception, accommodation & breakfast all at the one wedding venue, along with a team member to help you every step of the way.   • Do you do pop up elopements?

  • I am part of a social club, can we come visit as part of a group?
    Absolutely, we would love to host your group! We can cater for bus groups and social outings, visit us for morning/afternoon tea or lunch with a guided history tour of downstairs and the gardens. Minimum of 20 people, for more information and prices click here
  • Do you do high teas?
    We can host high teas for groups of 16 guests or more Monday-Friday and 20 guests Saturday and Sunday. A perfect place to celebrate bridal showers and birthdays! For more information click here
